Partnership with Grassroots Comedy

Comedy is a powerful tool for public engagement, learning, and connection. Through Grassroots Comedy's cause-tailored showcases and content, we have seen audiences grow significantly while partner organizations expand their reach, deepen volunteer engagement, and connect with new supporters in meaningful ways. By pairing comedy with timely issues and clear calls to action, we help organizations cut through noise, lower barrier to entry, and invite broader participation in social change.

At a moment when many people feel overwhelmed or disengaged by traditional advocacy spaces, comedy creates an accessible, human entry point for dialogue that is thoughtful, constructive, and energizing. Grassroots Comedy partners with non-profits, grassroots organizations, and community groups to use humor not as a distraction from serious issues, but as a bridge to learning, connection, and action.

Organizations interested in partnering with Grassroots Comedy or exploring how comedy can support their advocacy and engagement goals are encouraged to contact us at [email protected].

It was absolutely amazing partnering with Grassroots Comedy. Their fantastic show benefitted La Clinica del Pueblo in so many ways, raising needed funds for lifesaving healthcare services and increasing awareness about the importance of community health. We cannot wait to work with them again!

-Ilana Nagib, Development Specialist, La Clinica Del Pueblo

On behalf of the LAYC team, I want to thank you again for the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with GC to raise funds for our organization. We are honored to have been able to work with such a special team that is making a positive impact in the community. The event was well-organized, we appreciated your excellent communication with our team, and we were very pleased with the turnout and quality of the lineup. Our staff also enjoyed taking an evening to relax and enjoy tons of laughs out in this great town of DC! "

-Jamie Cotta, Grant Writing and Development, Latin American Youth Center
Grassroots Comedy ran a fabulous comedy show for Ayuda. They have access to the top local talent and pull out all the stops to run a great show from top to bottom. We hope to partner with them again in the future. "

-Arleen Ramirez Borysiewicz, Director, Program Initiatives, Ayuda
I wanted to take a second and say thank you for an absolutely awesome show on Friday. The comics were fantastic and we loved the Kramerbooks setting. All in all it was exactly what we wanted. "

Alex Hart, Program Manager, Rise Against Hunger
The LGBTQ Rights show was hilarious, and a wonderful night out! The team at GC were well organized and easy to work with. Not only did they raise needed funds for the DC Center, but we got an opportunity to share our story with the audience and meet some amazing folks along the way! "

-David Mariner, Executive Director, The DC Center for the LGBT Community
We had a wonderful experience with Grassroots Comedy. They sold out the show, raised us significant amounts of money, and put on a top-notch performance. Would we work with them again? Absolutely! Name the date! "
